In party towns Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton and Cardiff, we’re alongside the paramedics, on the nightclub doors, in the takeaways and on the ride home. We’re inside the booze buses - the mobile A&E units that park at hot spots around the UK every weekend, ready to treat the walking wounded. They deal with anything from dishing out plasters to girls who have fallen off their high heels to likely lads who need patching up after a late-night fight.
We are with the bouncers - the doormen who step in when people are out of line. We’re filming in the kebab, chicken and pizza shops, where staff are firing up their fryers ready for the hungry hoards to arrive, for that delicious moment when beer transforms a kebab into a cordon bleu dish. We are in the cabs – fully rigged to capture the hilarious journeys bringing revellers into town and taking them home at the end of the night. We are at the shoulder of street pastors, taxi marshals, the UK’s largest taxi waiting room and we are on the last bus home.
